Arshdeep Singh Brar completed his MA in English from Jadavpur University in 2014. He is currently working as a Research Fellow at the School of Cultural Texts and Records (SCTR), on the collaborative project between University of Exeter and Jadavpur University titled Famine and Dearth in India and Britain,1550-1800 which is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), UK. During this project, his work has focussed on Persian and Hindi texts in sixteenth- to eighteenth-century India.
